NASHVILLE, Tn (March 8, 2026): Kentucky native JD Shelburne is no stranger to the CMT spotlight. Over the course of his nearly 20-year career, he has built a collection of videos on the CMT Music Outlet! Recently, JD Shelburne released a new video, “Backroad Kinda Love,” which aired on CMT, marking his ninth consecutive video on the platform. That’s an incredible achievement for the small-town Kentucky native who moved to Nashville in 2008 with a dream, a guitar, and a few songs.
“Every time I see the 3 letters, CMT, I get chills. That network has been one of my main goals since moving to town. Back in 2008, they passed on my first video, and I was crushed. I had to find a way to never give up, make better music, and now here we are with nine straight on the network. It’s mind-boggling to think about. Hard work really does pay off. I am proof,” says Shelburne in a recent phone interview.
