LOUISVILLE (March 27, 20023): Kentucky Native JD Shelburne was just announced apart of the 2023 Kentucky Derby Festival Lineup this year! Shelburne will headline the main stage for the very first time in his career on Wednesday May 3rd at 7:30pm. A Pegasus pin will be needed for concert entry.
Shelburne spent a decade headlining the Chow wagon next to Waterfront Park pulling in large crowds for over 10+years on an annual basis. This year will be his first time headlining the main stage which is a “bucket list” concert for him and his Nashville band.
Shelburne burst onto the scene in 2005 after finding his grandmother’s guitar after her death. After years of self-taught, hard work and building one of the most loyal fan bases to come out of Kentucky, Shelburne has racked up enough accomplishments to garner him an exhibit at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. He has earned many achievements throughout and has played nearly 3,000 concerts, one of which he opened famed rocker’s ZZ Top’s last show. He’s had a top ten album on iTunes, 6 straight videos on CMT, opened for 60 Nationals, been featured on GAC, NBC, RFD-TV and many more.
