Sweet Traditions & Small-Town Charm
Every fall, as the leaves begin to turn and the air fills with the sights and sounds of harvest season, Springfield comes alive for the Sorghum Festival — a beloved Kentucky tradition and the largest event in Washington County.
What began as a simple harvest gathering has grown into a weekend-long celebration of community, heritage, and small-town charm. The festival brings neighbors together, creates memories for families, and welcomes visitors from near and far to experience the hospitality and traditions that make Springfield special.
And this year, JD Shelburne is proud to once again be part of it.
“Springfield has always been so good to me,” Shelburne says. “I’m incredibly grateful to be coming back for my third Sorghum Festival. To be able to headline the 50th anniversary celebration with my full band is a huge honor. I can’t wait to see everybody there!”
JD Shelburne takes the stage at 9:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, for a FREE concert.
Bring your chairs, bring your friends, and come celebrate 50 years of the Springfield Sorghum Festival!
