MADISON, In. (July 4th, 2026)— Country music artist JD Shelburne made a triumphant return to the Roostertail Music Festival in Madison, Indiana, delivering one of the weekend’s most energetic performances on Saturday, July 4. Returning to the festival for the fourth time—and his last appearance since 2018—Shelburne thrilled thousands of fans gathered along the Ohio River despite soaring summer temperatures.

Held in conjunction with the historic Madison Regatta, the three-day Roostertail Music Festival welcomed one of its biggest lineups to date, featuring artists including Brantley Gilbert, Niko Moon, JD Shelburne, and more. Although severe weather ultimately prevented Brantley Gilbert from taking the stage later in the evening, festivalgoers were treated to a high-energy, hour-long performance from Shelburne that kept the crowd singing from start to finish.

Packing his setlist with fan favorites, Shelburne performed hits including “Backroad Kinda Love,” “Straight From Kentucky,” and “Break Up With Me.” He also ignited the audience with a powerful cover of “Kryptonite,” bringing thousands of voices together in one unforgettable singalong.

“This festival has always been one of my favorites, and it was incredible to be back in Madison,” said Shelburne. “The fans brought amazing energy, even in the blazing heat. Madison has always felt special to me—especially since it’s my wife Amy’s hometown. It was an honor to celebrate Independence Day with everyone.”

The Roostertail Music Festival once again proved to be one of the Midwest’s premier Fourth of July destinations, combining world-class live music with the excitement of the Madison Regatta, food vendors, camping, family activities, and one of the region’s largest fireworks displays.

Fresh off another successful holiday weekend performance, Shelburne continues his busy touring schedule throughout 2026, bringing his signature blend of authentic country music and high-energy live shows to audiences across the country.
