NASHVILLE, Tn. (July 25, 2026) — Kentucky native and recent Grand Ole Opry performer JD Shelburne returned to the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday, July 25, 2026, for a special Songwriting Session inside the historic Ford Theater.

Performing to a full room of fans and music lovers, Shelburne delivered an intimate 45-minute acoustic set featuring seven original songs, sharing the stories and inspiration behind each one. Accompanied by musician & bandmember Rhett Gordon, the afternoon highlighted the power of songwriting and the personal connection between an artist and his audience.

The Country Music Hall of Fame stands as one of the most important institutions in country music, preserving the history, artistry, and legacy of the genre’s greatest songwriters and performers. For any songwriter, stepping onto the stage of the Ford Theater is a meaningful honor and a reminder of the generations of artists whose stories have shaped country music.

“I’m incredibly honored to be a part of the Country Music Hall of Fame Songwriting Session,” Shelburne said. “To look out and see every chair filled with fans who came to hear my songs and the stories behind them means the world to me. Thank you to everyone who spent the afternoon with us and especially all my fan club members who drove down to see us.”

The performance offered a rare, up-close experience as Shelburne shared the heart behind his music in one of Nashville’s most revered venues. The afternoon was a special and memorable celebration of songwriting, storytelling, and authentic country music.
