TROY, Il (September 19, 2026):  Kentucky country artist JD Shelburne made his debut at Tri Township Park in Troy, Illinois, this past Saturday, September 19, performing for an estimated crowd of 1,500 fans at the Bulls and Barrels Rodeo.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Tri Township Park, the event brought together a full rodeo production and live entertainment, with a stage set up on the park grounds for the evening’s concert. Following the conclusion of the rodeo, Shelburne took the stage for a high-energy, two-hour headlining performance that kept the crowd singing along throughout the night.

Shelburne delivered songs from his growing catalog, including fan favorites such as “Backroad Kinda Love” and “Summertime All Year,” along with his #1 CMT hit, “Cars and Trucks.” The performance marked Shelburne’s first appearance at the Troy, Illinois, event and introduced his live show to a new community of country music fans.

Tri Township Park shared its appreciation following the performance:

“Thank you for putting on an amazing show for our community. It was an awesome night.”

Event founder David Qualls also praised Shelburne and his band following the concert:

“That was the best part that the park has ever seen, coming from you guys that helped build it. JD and the guys killed it. Thanks again!”

For Shelburne, the night was about more than simply making his debut. It was another opportunity to connect with fans, both new and longtime supporters who traveled from across the region to be part of the show.

“I’m always honored when people take the time to come out and support what we’re doing,” Shelburne said. “We even had some loyal fan club members drive several hours just to see us perform. That means more than they know. Nights like this are why we love what we do.”

The Troy, Illinois, stop was another memorable chapter in Shelburne’s Find Me a Freeway Tour, as he continues bringing his brand of Kentucky country music to communities across the country.

Shelburne and his band look forward to returning to Troy and Tri Township Park in 2027.
