JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. (July 3, 2026) — Kentucky country music artist JD Shelburne delivered an unforgettable performance as the headlining act for the first-ever Stars & Stripes Fest at the newly constructed J-Town Amphitheater this past Friday night.

Performing a high-energy 90-minute set in sweltering 95-degree temperatures, Shelburne treated fans to many of his signature songs, including Backroad Kinda Love, the crowd favorite Straight From Kentucky, and several other fan favorites. Hundreds of concertgoers filled the lawn, creating an electric atmosphere throughout the evening at the new amphitheater in the heart of Jeffersontown, KY.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for braving the heat, staying for the entire show, and supporting us by purchasing tickets,” said Shelburne. “The energy from the crowd was incredible, and it made for one of the most memorable nights of our summer tour.”

The concert also marked a record-breaking merchandise sales night for Shelburne’s team, highlighting the continued support of his loyal fanbase.” I am so grateful by the support of the community and my brand.”

“We’re so grateful for everyone who continues to support our journey,” Shelburne added. “From singing every word to stopping by the merch table after the show, shaking my hand, your support means the world to us.” JD Shelburne is no stranger to the area as having stopped in on tour through the years at many events including the Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival in which he has headlined 3 times in his career. “We love seeing him come back to perform near his hometown”, one concert goer mentioned that night. “Shelburne is one of our favorite’s and his performance and energy is unmatched in this area!”

The Inaugural Stars & Stripes Fest showcased the new J-Town Amphitheater as an exciting addition to Kentucky’s live music scene, and Shelburne hopes to return for future events. Thank you to the staff for having the band.
